This piece doesn't have a too much specific reference. I was playing around the yōkai concept mixing two of my general inspiration: Yuki-onna and Hari Onago (or Hari Onna), which are the Snow Woman and the woman with the long hair.
Yuki-onna is a very famous figure of Japanese folklore and I suggest you to watch Kwaidan (a folk horror Japanese movie) to get an example of her, while I don't know why I've always been fascinated by the long-haired demon. I've met this figure reading Inuyasha, Kagome Kagome and even in Kwaidan there's a story around it (Kurokami).
