The Lost Carcosa

Personal cover illustration
I still have to read Chambers' 'The King in Yellow', but I've always been fascinated by the concept, the idea of the city of Carcosa. For me, it's a place that stands between reality and imagination, so I tried to put here the visions it always brings me.
It was also an exercise about buildings - even if I did a rookie mistake in the composition - and playing around elements that are not characters. An important reference I looked up is the work John Schoenherr did on Dune, I love that kind of illustrations.
